Kohima District Administration and Police, led by Deputy Commissioner, B. Henok Buchem and Superintendent of Police Krodi Rhetso, along with NHIDCL officials and Phesama Council representatives, visited the landslide-affected stretch of NH-2 near Phesama on 23rd August 2025.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that traffic has been partially restored on the road, which was washed away during the recent monsoon. He stated that the college bus service will resume from Monday, 25th August 2025. However, movement of heavy vehicles, including water tankers, paramilitary convoys, and commercial passenger vehicles, will remain suspended until further notice.
