The Office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, has issued a traffic advisory in view of the upcoming Night Carnival being organized by the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) in coordination with the District Administration and DCCI. The event held as part of the Hornbill Festival celebrations will take place along the stretch from Holy Cross point to City Tower from 6^th to 10^th December, 2025.

To ensure smooth traffic movement and public safety, several temporary traffic arrangements have been enforced:

Key Restrictions 

1.       Road enclosure: Entry of vehicles between Holy Cross Junction and City Tower Junction is restricted from 4: 00 pm to 11:00 PM daily from December 6–10. Parking along the carnival stretch during these hours is strictly prohibited and violators may face towing or penalties.

2.      Barricades Roads: All feeder roads connecting the main carnival route will be barricaded and restricted to support the flow of traffic.

3.      Parking Arrangements: Roadside parking only in designated areas without obstructing vehicle movement.

Special parking facility made available at Christian Higher Secondary School for carnival visitors, operational from 9 AM to 5 PM from 6^th- 23^rd December with extended hours till 11 PM from 6^th- 10^th December.

Limited parking for officials, organizers and pass holders will be available at Holy Cross Higher Secondary School parking lot.
