The Block Level National Panchayati Raj Day was observed at the Town Hall, Tseminyu on 24th April 2025, with participation from village council chairmen, VDB secretaries, and other village functionaries representing 26 villages under Tseminyu Block.

EAC Tseminyu, Mhathung Ngullie, NCS, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the crucial roles and responsibilities of village functionaries in grassroots governance. He underscored the importance of sustainable resource management, strengthening the public health system, and ensuring robust implementation of various government-sponsored schemes in the district.

The event also witnessed contributions from key district officials including Ashale Seb, District Coordinator, PHED Kohima Division; Kenyuyhunlo, Senior Supervisor, ICDS Project Tseminyu under the Department of Social Welfare; Dr. Chiben Kithan, District TB Officer, Department of Health & Family Welfare; Zukeya Woch, Co-convenor of Tseminyu District Green Initiatives; and Ruchinilo Kemp, Member Secretary, TGDI.

The program was chaired by Celin Thol, BDO (RD), Tseminyu Block, while the vote of thanks was pronounced by the President of the VDB Association, Tseminyu Block.
