Addl. Deputy Commissioner & Returning Officer, Mokokchung Municipal Council, Chumlamo Humtsoe, has given the following Notice for Nomination to the election of Mokokchung Town Municipality.

1. An election is to be held of a member to Ward No. 1,2,4,5,7,8,10,11,13,14,16 & 17 of the Mokokchung Town Municipality with Ward No. 3,6,9,12,15 & 18 reserved for women.
2. Nomination Papers may be delivered by the candidate or his/her proposer to the Mokokchung Municipal Council Returning Officer of ADC (Hq) & RO between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM on any day (Other than public holiday) from 3rd April 2023 (Monday) but not later than 10th April 2023 (Monday) up to 3:00 PM.
3. Forms of Nomination Papers may be obtained at the place and times aforesaid.
4. The Nomination Papers will be taken up for scrutiny on 12th & 13th April 2023 (Wednesday & Thursday) at the Office of the ADC (Hq) & RO Mokokchung Municipal Council.
5. Notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered by a candidate or his/her proposer or his/her election agent (Who has been authorized in writing by the candidate to deliver it) to the Office specified in paragraph (2) above at his Office before 3:00 PM on the 24th April 2023 (Monday) before 3:00 PM.
6. In the event of the election being contested, the poll will be taken on 16th May 2023 (Tuesday) between the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
