A three-member Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees Association (CANSSEA) team, led by its President Dr. Ilang, attended the All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF) National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at Sukkur Bhavan, Mumbai on 4th and 5th November 2022. The meeting was attended by Employees Federations of 29 State Government from all over India where the representatives participated in a marathon meeting for two consecutive days on urgent and important matters concerning employees’ welfare issues faced by its members working under various state governments. Considering the various issues confronting and looking at the overall plight and situation of the state government employees in the country, it was collectively decided in the NEC meeting to go on an agitation on the following seven points charter of demands:
1. Regularise all contractual/out sourced, daily waged employees. Fill up all vacancies through statutory bodies.
2. Scrap PFRDA. Enroll all sub subscribers under NPS to Defines Benefit Pension System.
3. Stop privatization of PSUs and downsizing of Government Department. Give up System.
4. Stop Communalism, save secularism.
5. Repeal Article 310 & Article 311 (2) (a) (b) (c) of the Constitution. Ensure the democratic trade union rights to employees.
6. Abandon National Education Policy.
7. Control Price rise, Strengthen the Universal Public Distribution System.
In addition to the above, other demands also included asking the government to constitute the VIII Central Pay Commission, Release all DA/DR and to remove all riders and restriction on compassionate employment.
Earlier the above Charter of Demands were thoroughly deliberated which is in continuation to the joint meeting that was held on 6th September with the leader of the Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers at Sukomal Sen Bhavan, AISGEF HQ Faridabad. A joint national convention is also scheduled for 8th December 2022 at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. In view of the above as stated CANSSEA request all its federating units to be mentally prepared and cooperate as and when called upon on the directives of All India State Government Employees Federation.
Further, all affiliated association to CANSSEA have been directed to submit the name list of NPS subscribers to CANSSEA office latest by the 30th of November 2022.
