Central Administrative Tribunal has notified for the general information of all the Central Government employees posted in Nagaland and also the employees of various organizations notified under the Central Administrative Tribunal and posted in Nagaland and also the Members of the legal fraternity in Nagaland that a Circuit Court Sitting of Central Administrative Tribunal, Guwahati Bench will be held at Court No. 4 of the Hon'ble Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench on 30.03.2023 (Thursday) & 31.03.2023 (Friday).
Advocates/Parties/Central Government Civilian Employees/ employees of the notified organizations under CAT posted in Nagaland have been informed to file cases before the Circuit Sitting with regard to their recruitment and conditions of service.
It is pertinent to mention that the Central Administrative Tribunal had been established under Article 323 -A of the Constitution for adjudication of disputes and complaints with respect to recruitment and conditions of service of persons appointed to public services and posts in connection with the affairs of the Union of other authorities under the control of the Government. The purpose of setting up CAT was to reduce the burden of various courts and to provide speedy justice to the persons covered under CAT with regard to their grievances. The Government of India has notified 215 organizations including Ministries and Departments of the Central Government, under section 14 (2) of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 to bring them within the jurisdiction of the Central Administrative Tribunal, from time to time.
