The Centre for Innovations in Public Systems (CIPS), Hyderabad has proposed to award for innovations across the North Eastern States, Union Territories, and Hill States in field  of  Education, Environment, Health,  Information  Technology and Rural Development. The cash price of   Rs.  1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh) only is to be given to the recipient  of  5 categories, viz. Education, Environment, Health, Information  Technology and Rural Development. There are 20 awards (4 No. in each category/ focused area/ discipline/ field).

The awards are for Central/State Government officials, Civil Society Organisations, Individuals and Private Organisations. The Centre for Innovations in Public Systems (CIPS)- (An Autonomous Centre of Administrative Staff College of India, Government of India), Hyderabad, was established in 2010, on the recommendations of the 13th Finance Commission, with the mandate of accelerating and diffusing innovations  in public systems through sharing of experience  across states.
