Rio stated that the day is an occasion to pay tribute to the invaluable contributions of our teachers, who nurture and shape the minds of our children and youth, laying the foundation for a better future.
The CM asserted that Teachers are the guiding light in our society, imparting knowledge, instilling values, and inspiring generations to dream and achieve. Their dedication, patience, and selfless service continue to be the cornerstone of building an enlightened, progressive, and harmonious society.
In this fast changing era of technology and innovation, the role of teachers has become even more vital in fostering creativity and critical thinking needed to maneuver the challenges of the 21st century. The government remains firmly committed to strengthening the education system, empowering teachers and ensuring that the noble profession of teaching receives the dignity and respect it so richly deserves.
Rio called upon every citizen to respect and acknowledge the pivotal role of teachers, and urged the students to uphold the values of discipline, respect, and hard work that their teachers instill in them.
