In pursuance of the provisions under Section 159 of the Representation of the People Act,1951, the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima, Shanavas C IAS has appointed the Attestation Officers, Assistant Videographers, Micro Observers for the casting of Postal Ballots for Absentee Voters for 8th-Western Angami A/C, 9th-Kohima Town A/C, 10th Northern Angami-1 A/C, 11 Northern Angami-II A/C, 14th Southern Angami-I A/C, and 15 Southern Angami-II A/C in the ensuing General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023.

The DC & DEO said that all the Polling Personnel are deemed to be on deputation to the Election Commission of India and shall be subjected to the control, superintendence, and discipline of the Election Commission of India.

In this connection, training/ briefing for all the appointed Officials shall be held at DC's Conference Hall, Kohima on 16th February 2023 at 11:30 AM

Therefore, the DC & DEO directed all the officials appointed as polling personnel to attend the said training/ briefing without fail. The order further informed that failure to attend the training shall invite disciplinary action under the relevant provision of the Act.
