The DC & DEO Kohima in a press release stated that the Election Commission of India through its Press Note NO.ECI/PN/1/2023 has announced the schedule for the conduct of General Elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. 

The release also stated that consequent upon the announcement of the schedule for the General Election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2023, the Model Code of Conduct comes into effect immediately. All the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct will apply to the whole District concerning all Candidates, Political Parties, the State Government, and the Union Government.
