DC & District Election Officer, Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS has issued a public information with regard to Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll-2026, stating that the Election Commission of India has ordered the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Roll in the State of Nagaland with 01-10-26 as the qualifying date. 

While carrying out the SIR of the Electoral Rolls, the DC stated that the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of each of the Assembly Constituency shall be responsible for ensuring that no eligible citizen is left out and no ineligible person shall be included in the E/Roll.

The schedule and activities of SIR in Nagaland are:

1.Preparation, Training & Printing from 05.08.26 to 14.08. 26.

2.House to House visits by BLOs from 16.08.26 to 14.09.26.

3.Rationalisation of Polling Station by 14.09.26.

4.Publication of Draft Electoral Roll on 20.09.26. 

5.Period of Claims and Objection from 29.09.26 to 20.10.26.

6.Notice phase/Disposal of Claims and objections from 20.09.26 to 18.11.26.

7.Publication of Final Electoral Roll on 22.11.26. 

The notification stated that SIR is a participative exercise involving all stakeholders including Electors, Political Parties and Election Officials, all concerned are requested to actively participate and extend full cooperation in ensuring the preparation of an error-free Electoral Roll for the State of Nagaland.
