Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Zunheboto in a notification stated that in view of the upcoming General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly and to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the district, all the arms license holders under Zunheboto district are to deposit their firearms along with ammunitions and license to the concerned Police station latest by 18th February 2023. All arms license holders whose licenses are about to expire are further informed to renew the same before depositing their firearms along with ammunition and license. Failure to comply with this directive will lead to cancellation of Ams license(s) and other penal action as per relevant action of law.

The Officer-in-charge of the police station shall submit a daily report of such arms being deposited.
