Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Noklak K. Mhathung Tsanglao in a press release issued on 18th January 2023 stated that with the announcement for the conduct of General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2023 by the Election Commission of India through a press note No. ECI/PN/1/2023 dated 18th Jan 2023 and in Pursuance to the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland press release No. ELE/CDT-130/2023, it was informed to all concerned that the Model Code of Conduct comes into force with immediate effect throughout Noklak District. The political parties, intending candidates, Government departments/establishments, and the general public have been informed to take note of the same and adhere strictly to the model code of conduct and extend cooperation to the District election machinery to ensure peaceful conduct of the said Election.
