In view of the prevailing Law and Order situation in Lamhai Namdi Village and adjoining areas and in view of the threat to public peace and tranquility, Deputy Commissioner Peren, Vineet Kumar in the capacity of District Magistrate on being fully satisfied of the grounds for taking precautionary measures in the form of passing prohibitory order under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), 1973 to ensure that public peace and tranquility is maintained.

Therefore, after due consideration of the prevailing situation, Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate, Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS in exercise of the power conferred upon him under Section 144 of the CrPC, 1973 promulgated this prohibitory order imposing curfew, prohibiting assembly of more than 5 (five) persons and carrying of any lethal weapons and arms in the disputed Lamhai Namdi village and adjoining areas. 

The Order also added, Security personnel on duty and medical emergency services are exempted from the purview of this Order. The Order comes into immediate effect until further order.
