Following a representation submitted by the Network of Nagaland Drugs and AIDS Organization (NNagaDAO) seeking a public clarification on News item and Press advertisement related to World Hepatitis Day 2026, the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland has issued the following clarifications:

1.      Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C Screening Tests are available free of cost at the District Hospitals, in most of the CHCs, some PHCs as well as in some HWCs.

2.      Free Viral Load Testing for Hepatitis B & C is available at the District Hospitals.

3.      Free Treatment for Hepatitis B and C are available at the District Hospitals which are designated as Treatment Centres.

4.      Districts has been authorised to offer Free Baseline Investigations like Liver Function Test (LFT), Renal Function Test (RFT), Complete Blood Count (CBC), Ultrasound sonography (USG) Abdomen, Fibroscan, Prothrombin Time to the Hepatitis B & C Positive patients.

5.      For any information on Nation Viral Hepatitis Control Program (NVHCP) services, one may kindly contact the nearest Government Health Facility.
