In exercise of the powers conferred by the Nagaland Epidemic Disease (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020 under the Epidemic Disease Act 1897, the Department of Health & Family Welfare has informed that Longleng District Hospital has been identified as COVID-19 HOSPITAL. Therefore, the following alternative arrangements are prepared for the convenience of patients:

1. Medical services for other patients are to be taken up by converting Nyengching GHS Longleng to a make shift hospital. Further, CHC Yachem can be explored for the same.
2. The DH Longleng authority shall start the preparation including postponement of Non­-essential elective surgeries, discharging stable patients, advising patients not to come for routine visits to the OPD if it can be avoided or postponed etc with immediate effect.
3. To make indent to the directorate for requirement of any logistics.
4. All unauthorized/authorized shops (excluding pharmacies) and eateries in the vicinity of hospitals should be compulsorily shut.
5. Engage resources from other departments in non-technical roles, so that health personnel and can dedicate in their professional responsibilities.
6. The dedicated COVID-19 hospital and the make shift hospital should be operational at the earliest.
