Home Department Government of Nagaland has issued an Office Memorandum stating that the Government of India, as part of Swachhata Pakhwada - Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2023, has announced for a massive cleanliness drive led by the people across the country as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. It has also been informed that the Prime Minister and other dignitaries would also be joining the swachhata activities on ground.

On September 27, 2023,  the grand inauguration of the "Marketing and Logistics Development for promoting tribal products from North Eastern Region (PTP NER)" program took place at the VDB hall in Longleng and was a collaborative effort between the TRIFED, IIE, DUDA, and the District Administration of Longleng.

In an official order issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, it has come to the attention of the authorities that certain individuals within Niuland District are engaging in the unauthorized practice of using their private vehicles for commercial purposes. These activities include the transportation of passengers and goods without possessing a valid permit from the competent authority.

The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd. (TRIFED), in collaboration with the Longleng District Administration, has announced the 'Tribal Artisan Mela' as part of the "Marketing and Logistics Support for Promotion of Tribal Products in NER (PTP-NER)" initiative. This event is scheduled to take place at VDB Hall in Longleng Town on 27th September 2023.

Deputy Commissioner Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma IAS, has announced that the Tribal Artisans Empanelment Mela (TAeM), organized under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, is scheduled to conclude on 29th September 2023. The event will take place at the Town Council Hall in Mon starting at 11:00 AM.
