The Motor Vehicles Department, Office of the Transport Commissioner Nagaland has issued press information stating that overloading on highways and roads is becoming a complex issue of concern in the state.

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C IAS has informed all the HODs and Special Invitees to come and collect the Invitation Cards/ Car Passes for the upcoming Republic Day Celebration from the Establishment Branch, Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima w.e.f 24th January 2023 during office hours.

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C IAS has in a circular informed all the Head of Offices posted at Kohima Headquarters and Gaon BURAS under Kohima Sadar (Urban & Rural) to compulsorily attend the Republic Day Celebration on 26th January 2023 at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza.

In view of the upcoming General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly and to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the district, Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate Kohima, Shanavas C IAS has directed all the arms license holders under Kohima District to deposit their firearms along with ammunition and license to their concerned Police Station latest by 31st January 2023.
