In exercise of the powers conferred by section 128 of the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (4 of 2017), the State Government, on the recommendations of the Council, has made the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of Nagaland, Finance Department (Revenue Branch), F.NO.FIN/REV- 3/GST/l/08(PM)/20 dated 29th December 2017, namely:-

Jal Shakti Abhiyan II campaign was launched in the state on World Water Day, 22nd March 2021 with the theme “ catch the rain, where it falls, when it falls” along with the rest of the Country.

Minister of State of Housing & Urban Affairs, Kaushal Kishore will grace the celebration of International Day of Yoga 2022 at Heritage Village Kisama on 21st June 2022. The event will be organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Article V, Clause 10 of the Constitution of the Naga Peoples Front (NPF), Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu, President, NPF has appointed Dr. Ngangshi K. Ao as the Chief Whip of NPF Legislature Party w.e.f. 30/04/2022.

In pursuance of the provisions in Rule 3(4) of the Members of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (Disqualification on Ground of Defection) Rules, 2019, the Speaker has been intimated that Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA has been unanimously elected as the Leader of NPF Legislature Party w.e.f. 30/04/2022.

The Home Department has informed that deserving cases for the award of Governor's Gold Medal / Governor's Commendation Certificates on the occasion of Independence Day, 15th August 2022 have been invited. Citations/Recommendations of deserving cases may be forwarded to Special Secretary (Home) Nagaland, Kohima latest by 15th July 2022.
