Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS has notified that public in the villages and towns are facing problems due to their inability to access Banking facilities because of the present situation. Therefore, teams from India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) & Banking Correspondent (BC) Customer Service Point (CSP) Representatives (State Bank of India) will be visiting the villages to facilitate withdrawal of cash.

STATEMENT ON COVID-19 ON 8th APRIL 2020 FOR NAGALAND
The full text of the statement on COVID-19 as given by the Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha IAS is as follows:
“As at 5:00 pm today, a total of 65 samples of suspected cases have been sent for testing from the State. The results of 61 samples have been received and they are all negative. The results of 4 samples are awaited.

UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION NOTIFIES FOR MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF THE STUDENTS
The University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India Secretary, Prof. Rajnish Jain had been issuing regular advisories requesting HEIs to take all possible preventive and precautionary measures to ensure the safety and security of students, whether on campus in hostel or outside, as we confront the COVID- 19 outbreak.
DC DIMAPUR INFORMS
Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Anoop Khinchi, IAS has informed that all agencies engaged in farming operations and other agriculture related activities under Dimapur District are exempted from the lockdown.
DC therefore, stated that movement of farmers and other persons involved in agriculture activities should not be restricted in the colonies/villages.
