Dr.Jitendra Singh, Minister of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) held detailed review meeting on 27/03/2020 through Video Conferencing. The meeting was attended by officers of Ministry of DoNER and North Eastern Council (NEC). The meeting among others deliberated in length the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and measures being taken to meet the challenges arising out of it in the North Eastern Region.

On 2nd April 2020 the Principal Director of Health & Family Welfare visited Longleng and held meeting with the doctors, nurses and medical staffs in the presence of the District Administration and Police led by the Deputy Commissioner M. Shayung Phom and Superintendent of Police Yanithung Ezung at District Hospital, Longleng.

The Home department, NSDMA has informed that exceptions to lockdown measures have been allowed for agriculture operations, keeping in view of the harvesting and sowing season.

Consultative meeting in order to take up more preparedness and to strengthen their activities on COVID -19 and to tackle in case of any emergency a meeting was held at the Office chamber of the Chief Medical Officer on 2nd April 2020.

Basing on the Government’s order all villages under Shamator sub-division have been directed to implement lockdown measures. ADC Shamator, T. Lankonsen Tsanglao directed all the GBs, under Shamator town and villages to be more responsible in this regard.
