Wokha District Disaster Management Authority (WDDMA) will conduct a mock drill on emergency preparedness exercise for an earthquake on 17th November 2022, in this regard the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman Wokha District Disaster Management Authority (WDDMA) Ajit Kumar Ranjan (IAS) called on a meeting of all heads of offices and stakeholders on 15th Nov 2022 at DC conference hall to chalk out plans as to how to go about during the mock drill exercise.

The DC informed during the meeting that the mock drill will be conducted on simulations of an 8.7 magnitude earthquake and the Wokha District Disaster Management Authority has selected five staging areas namely, NDRF personnel will demonstrate the rescue of building collapse at Mt.Tiyi College and Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Libemo Memorial Scholl & Employment Office were selected for demonstration of partial building collapse and Daily Bazaar market to demonstrate fire incident and building collapse.

The DC and Chairman WDDMA requested all concerned departments involved in the mock drill to actively participate in the successful conduct of the mock exercise.
