A programme was held in Nagaland Civil Secretariat to celebrate the constitution day. Which throughout the country is celebrated every year on 26th November to commemorate the adoption of the constitution of India and to honour and acknowledge the contribution of founding Father of the constitution.

Nagaland Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha IAS chaired the programme and in his short address has mentioned that the constituent Assembly of India which was established in 1946, took almost three years to complete its historic task of drafting the constitution and on 26th November 1949 the constituent Assembly adopted the constitution of India which came into effect on 26th January 2950. In the programme led by the Home Commissioner the preamble to the constitution was read out by all the staff and Officers of the secretariat attending the programme.
