In connection with the ensuing 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election, 2023, the DC & DEO Kohima notified the constitution of the District Level Standing Committee (DLSC) for Model Code of Conduct as under:-

1.         DC & DEO Kohima                                       : Convener

2.         Superintendent of Police, Kohima                  : Member

3.         SDO (C) Hq. & Nodal Officer (MCC)          : Member

4.         All ROs/AROs Kohima district                      : Member

5.         Administrator KMC                                       : Member

6.         EEM Nodal Officer                                        : Member

7.         President & General Secretary of Recognized

Political Parties, Kohima district                    : Member

8.         President & two representatives 

Angami Public Organization                           : Member

9.         President & two representatives, 

Angami Miapfu Mechu Krotho (AMK)         : Member

10.       President & two representatives, 

Angami Youth Organization                          : Member

11.       Assistant Election Officer                              : Member

 

The Notification also stated that the Committee shall meet from time to time, as and when required to discuss issues relating to the free, fair, and peaceful conduct of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election, 2023. The Committee shall ensure that the Model Code of Conduct is strictly adhered to by all political parties, contesting candidates, government departments, and the general public from the day the Commission announces the election till the election process ends.

The first meeting of the Committee will be held on 20th January 2023 at 3:30 PM in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima.

All concerned have been requested to make it convenient to attend the meeting positively.
