In continuation with Office Order No.ELE/SAE/security/2022-23/167, Dated 21st January 2023, and in view of the upcoming General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly and to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the district, Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate Kohima, Shanavas C has directed all the arms license holders under Kohima District to deposit their firearms along with ammunitions and license to their concerned Police Station latest by 10th February 2023. The Order stated that failure to comply shall lead to cancellation of Arms Licence(s) and other penal action as per relevant action of law. The Order further informed the Officer-in-charge of the concerned Police Station to furnish a daily report in the prescribed format as instructed.
