Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, K. Mhathung Tsanglao in an order issued on 22nd February 2023 lifted Restrictions Imposed u/s 144 CrPC.

DC stated that reasonable restrictions were imposed under section 144 CrPC within the limits of Thonoknyu Headquarters and a perimeter of 200 meters around the town vide Order No. DC/NLK/JUD-2/2020-21/ Dated Noklak on the 20th of February 2023 as a precautionary measure to prevent the breach of peace and public tranquility.

Keeping in view the normalcy in the law and order situation, the prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC have been removed with immediate effect, DC stated.
