Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Peren Vineet Kumar IAS informed all the concerned on 22nd February 2023 that the Campaigning period for the General Election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023 is about to end. DC Vineet Kumar IAS said that the Vigilance through FST and SST has been increased. Hence, anybody carrying cash exceeding Rs. 50,000/- should also carry all supporting documents along with it. Further, it is again reiterated that bribing or cases of threat/ intimidation of electors are not only electors offenses but also punishable under the Indian Penal Code. DC & DEO Peren Vineet Kumar IAS also informed that everybody should refrain from such activities and if knowledge of such incidence should be reported forthwith.
