For prevention of breach of peace, disturbance of public tranquility, and danger to human lives and properties because of the unlawful activities by some motivated organizations, the District Magistrate & District Election Officer, Longleng Dharam Raj, IAS in the exercise of the power conferred upon under sub-section (2) of Section 144 CrPC, 1973 imposed curfew ( prohibition any movement of a person outside their respective residence) effectively from 12 PM of 28th February 2023 to 7 PM of 1st March 2023 within the administrative jurisdiction of Longleng town.

This order does not apply to government agencies involved in the enforcement of law and order and other essential services. In case of emergencies, they may apply to DM & DEO and SP Longleng for permission and their movements shall be restricted until written permission is obtained from them.
