In pursuance of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, and P&AR Notification No. AR-3/GEN-9/97 dated 13.08.2020, the Governor of Nagaland is pleased to constitute a Committee consisting of the following Members to examine cases of request for exemption of posts from the notified list of identified posts for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities:-

1. Commissioner & Secretary, P&AR Department :- Chairperson
2. Commissioner & Secretary, Social Welfare Department:- Member
3. Commissioner & Secretary, H&FW Department :- Member
4. State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities:- Member
5. Secretary, P&AR Department :- Member Secretary

The term of reference for the Committee will be:

1. To consider and recommend cases received from various Departments requesting exemption of various posts from the notified list of identified posts for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities
2. The Committee shall meet biannually to consider and recommend such cases which may be referred to the Committee from time to time.
3. To examine, consider, update the list of posts identified and earmarked for Persons with Benchmark Disability and inclusion of new abbreviations in the disability category.
