Good evening,

As at 4 P.M. today, a total of ­­891 samples have been sent for testing from the State. The results of 873 samples have been received and all have been tested as negative. The results for the remaining 18 samples are awaited. In addition a total of 20 samples have been tested by Truenat machine and all are negative.

Today, a total of 7,228 persons have been screened and a total of 348 persons are under Facility Quarantine.

I would like to inform that out of the total of 18,255 citizens of the State stranded in different parts of the country who have filled up the returnees’ declaration form; up till 4: 30 pm today, a total of 1,471 persons have voluntarily opted for staying back, and filled up the required form on the portal iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in for availing the one-time assistance for Rs 10,000 (ten thousand).

The number of people of Nagaland stranded, or in distress outside the state, due to the Nationwide COVID-19 lockdown who have been provided financial assistance in the form of cash grant has now risen to 24,261, comprising of 18,829 working people, 5,214 students and 218 patients. Till date, a total of Rs 9.53 crore has been disbursed for this purpose.

With regard to the Inter-District movement of stranded persons to their home districts, so far, a total of 16,527 passengers have been transported to their respective districts in the State. Regarding arrival of stranded people of the State into Nagaland from other North Eastern States, a total of 409 persons have already arrived, and 484 persons are arriving today.

I would like to inform that as per the power conferred by the Nagaland Epidemic Disease (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020 regulation No. 6, the Chief Medical Officers of the districts are designated as ‘Authorized persons’ under the Act to issue movement order/ permit for the patients for inter- State and intra-State referral.
