A review meeting for the Aspirational District Kiphire was held from 4th to 6th July 2023, followed by the Special District Planning & Development Board on 7th July 2023 at Commissioner's & Circuit House, Nagaland Kohima. 

The meeting was chaired by MLA C Kipili Sangtam, Chairman DPDB Kiphire. The meeting was also attended by Advisor S Kiusemew Yimkhiung, Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guards Civil Defence, and Relief & Rehabilitation. At the outset, the Chairman welcomed all the members and appreciated them for their services and understanding of their own duties. He also stated that having the DPDB meeting in Kohima for the Kiphire District is the first time in history, and added that the meeting will be fruitful. He urged all the HoOs to give their suggestions and opinions for the betterment of the District. He also inquired about the progress and status of departmental works in the Kiphire District. Advisor S. Kiusemew Yimkhiung encouraged all the HoOs to provide their best service to the District and stressed the importance of the aspirational district, seeking suggestions from the members regarding the district. Some of the agenda items discussed in the meeting were: Seeking the construction of a suspension bridge at Lingua Ward, Kiphire. Proposal for financial assistance under LADP schemes 2012-2024 for the cultivation of cardamom at Seyochung village. Approval of LADP schemes 2023-2024. Enhancement of allocation for sports. Allotment of funds for skill development. Shortage of Maths and Science teachers in government schools. Resumption of NST bus service at Seyochung village. Posting of Medical Officers and Doctors in Kiphire. Creation of a sericulture farm in Kiphire.

Later, a PowerPoint presentation was presented on NITI Aayog. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks from the DPDB Chairman.
