In a bid to ensure the transparent and accurate disbursement of scholarships under various scholarship schemes offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, for the academic year 2022-23, a comprehensive verification process has been initiated. The Ministry has collaborated with the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) to conduct physical verification of institutes and beneficiaries. The purpose of this verification is to address discrepancies related to the authenticity of institutes and beneficiaries.

Following the findings of the verification process, the Government has taken the decision to re-validate applications and verify the details of Institute Nodal Officers, Heads of Institutes, and applicants. This re-validation and verification process will be conducted through a special drive employing Aadhar-based biometric authentication.

 

1.      In interest of prompt disbursement of Scholarship amount, applicants are suggested to make sure that the Aadhaar number provided is seeded with the Bank Account as the payment of Scholarships will be made through Aadhaar Based Payment System, only.

2.      All concerned (Head of Institutes, Institute Nodal Officer and applicants) are therefore requested to observe the guidelines/instructions posted on NSP portal and ensure the updation of their Aadhaar in NSP portal before 10.08.2023 to facilitate smooth Aadhaar based authentication.  

3.      Head of the Institute and Institute Nodal Officer enrolled under National Scholarship Portal for Post-Matric & Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship are hereby directed to coordinate with the District Nodal Officer under District Education Office (DEO) of their respective District and authenticate their Bio-metric with immediate effect. Without which, verification of the application cannot be done at the Institute level. Institutes are also advised to authenticate the Bio-Metric of their student who are beneficiary of the scheme mentioned by coordinating with their respective District Education Office.

4.      Beneficiaries of PMS & MCM scheme studying outside the State are directed to inquire from their respective Institute and enroll their Bio-Metric.
