Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C IAS, has issued a public notice regarding traffic regulations in the city. The designated route from Naga Hospital Colony to Tinpati (Census Junction), passing through New Market, Daklane, Naga Bazaar, Kezieke, and Pezielitsie, will be designated as "ONE-WAY-DOWN TRAFFIC" from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Monday to Friday, effective from August 28, 2023.

During the specified hours, vehicles will only be allowed to travel in the downward direction, from Naga Hospital Colony to Tinpati. No vehicles will be permitted to enter from Tinpati to NHAK junction on the specified days and timings. Vehicles headed towards town from High School are advised to take the standard route: High School - Tinpati - Razhii Point. Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) bound for High School and the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Area are advised to follow a diversion via box cutting, NHAK junction, and Census Junction, Tinpati.

These measures have been implemented in the interest of public safety and have been established following discussions with the Regional Transport Authority and consultation with relevant colony/sector authorities.
