Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS announced that the traffic route leading from existing KM 30.474 (near Kidima Road Chakhabama) to existing road KM. 53.220 (near Kikruma Village) (Design Km. 29.600 to Km. 51.5) on NH-29, which was previously temporarily restricted as per a notification issued by the Office of DC Phek on 17th August 2023, is now reopened for all commuters with immediate effect.

However, the public is advised to exercise caution while using this stretch of road, as it is still under construction, especially considering the ongoing monsoon season. In the event of incidents such as landslides, rockfalls, etc., in and around the area, the general public has been requested to contact the following number for immediate assistance (Name: Tonny, site in-charge, 9863299229).
