In pursuance to the Government notification dated Kohima the 11th August 2023, Deputy commissioner Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Poji has constituted a Committee on "Scheme for grant of award to the Good Samaritan" with the following members: Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung as the Chairman; Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, member; Chief Medical Officer Mokokchung, member and Regional Transport Officer, Mokokchung as the member secretary.

Terms of Reference: On receipt of communication from the police stations/hospitals, the committee shall review and approve the proposal/list of Good Samaritan on monthly basis, and the eligible/ selected list shall be forwarded to the Transport Commissioner, Motor Vehicles department, Kohima for necessary online payment of cash award of Rs. 5,000/-(Five thousand) only per Good Samaritan.
