Longkhim SDPDB Meeting was conducted under the Chairmanship of SDPDB Chairman & Advisor for IT & Communication, Economics & Statistics and Evolution, H. Sethrongkyu Sangtam on 16th August 2024 at EAC Office, Chare.

Sangtam welcomed all the members present and requested them for self-introduction. In his welcome speech Sangtam appealed to the government servants to be available in their place of posting and serve the public with dedication. He also urged the members to perform their duties with utmost sincerity while discharging their duties for the district.

During the meeting various departments; SDAO, Longkhim, Medical SMO Longkhim, GHS Chare and Shuzong School Chare shared their respective grievances such as lack of infrastructure and shortage of staff for necessary action. In response the chairman assured that he will do his best in every possible way to redress the problems faced by the institutions and agencies.

Represented for immediate posting of SDEO at Longkhim by the United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC) was also submitted to the SDPDB.

After a lengthy discussion the following agendas were recommended and forwarded to the concerned department for necessary action: Proposal for construction of SDAO Office and Rehab Centre at Longkhim town, proposal for purchase of land for extension of Longkhim town, Proposal for creation of Government Primary School at Ahotsi village, Proposal for allotment of Grants in aid to Shuzong School, Chare. The following societies were also recommended for registration: Khehtrum Farming Society at Chongtor village; Integrated Livelihood Society, Longkhim town; Eastern Livelihood Society at Longkhim town and opening of private School Saint Edmund's School at Chongtor village.
