On the occasion of National Sports Day which is celebrated on 29th August annually, Dynamic School of Darts under the aegis of the Nagaland Darts Association conducted Darts introduction and Installation at Kros College, Kohima on 29th August 2024.

The College management after introducing DSD and NDA handed over the rests of the time to DSD for necessary introduction of the game and briefing the players in detail.

The event followed with Imjungmeren wishing everyone a happy National Sports Day and thanked the principal and the management for the opportunity to organize the introduction of Darts in their college. A brief history of Naga Darts existence which came into being in 2012 was also shared.  He also congratulated the college by saying that history is made as Kros College is the first ever educational institution to introduce Darts during their sports event. Mention may also be made that along with Darts, Taekwondo was also introduced during this occasion.

Vikhor Tepa briefed the attendees on the rules and regulations of the game. As the guidelines were given out on the microphone, 5 members from DSD & NDA (Wabang Paul/Neibei Solo/Aomeren/Imjungmeren and Neiketou Suohu) stepped in on each board giving hands on training and demonstrations. Towards the middle of the training, it saw some natural talents; some determined players and a few never say die players.

The event witnessed nonstop throwing of darts amongst new players and the trainers.  At the end of the event, a consensus between the college and NDA was reached that the college will send 5 of its best players to the prestigious Annual Nagaland Darts Association Tournament to be held on 14th & 15th September at La Colline, Old Minister’s Hill 2024. As a welcome gesture, NDA agreed to allow free registration for the participants from Kros College.
