Deputy Commissioner, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS has issued a public advisory as it has been observed that the general public is engaging in panic buying of essential commodities and fuel, driven by a mistaken belief in an impending shortage due to landslides that affected a portion of NH-29 on the night of 3rd and 4th September 2024.

In this connection, the DC informs all concerned that there is no such shortage. The general public is advised to refrain from panic buying. The District Administration of Kohima is actively collaborating with neighbouring districts to ensure the uninterrupted supply of essential commodities and fuel via alternate routes.
