In Kiphire, Teachers Day was organised by DEO Office, Kiphire held with Additional
Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Longdiba L. Sangtam,( NCS) as Special Guest at Hopongkyu
Memorial Hall, on 5th September 2024.
In his speech, the ADC thanked the SDEO for inviting him to be a part of the occasion
and said, every year we celebrate this day to honor and acknowledge the service rendered by the
Teachers. He also emphasis the important profession of the teachers, and the role that they play
to shaped our children.  He also urged the teachers to influence the students through their
personal life.
Kiphire District Teachers Awards 2024 are,
1. G.Omega Sema, PGT ( Pol.Science), GHSS Pungro.
2. S.Likhumla Sangtam, GT ( General), GHSS kiphire.
3. A.Mughali Sumi,  PT, GHS, Sitimi Town.
District Teacher's Award 2023 are,
1. Vika S.Sumi, GT, GHS, Sitimi Town.

2. T.Lingholongba, PT, GMS, Yingshikur.
3. Tsupaishi, PT, GMS, Longya Ward, Kiphire.
Lumtipa T. Sangtam and Apila Gloria moderated the program. The highlights of the
program were Prelude by Trinity School, Kiphire; Invocation by Rev. Imdangmeren: Welcome
address by Rentsamo Kikon ,Sr. S DEO Kiphire; Special song was presented by Saramati View
Modern School; significance of the day was delivered by Dekhingla, GHSS Kiphire; Speech on
behalf of District Teachers Awardees by C. Omega Sema, PGT, GHSS Pungro. Merit students
Award in HSLC from Kiphire District was awarded to Tainyiu of Loyola Hr. Sec. School
Kiphire.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Lisecho, president
ANGPTA, Kiphire Unit.
