Deputy Commissioner Kohima Kumar Ramnikant IAS has issued a circular informing to all concerned, especially the citizens of Kohima, that the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kohima shall be conducting the Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) 2024 on 24th October 2024 from 09:00 AM onwards.

The Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) 2024 is a state wide mega Mock Exercise to test the capability of the state and various agencies/stakeholders to respond and to manage any impending disaster. The preparedness exercise shall be conduct at 5(Five) identified locations, namely; Government Middle School, Bayavü, Directorate of Industries & Commerce office, Miachie-o Lhithochü High School, Nagaland Hospital Authority Kohima(NHAK) and Sanuorü Bridge.

The staging Area shall be at High School Ground and the Relief Camp shall be at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. Therefore, various search and rescue operations shall be undertaken wherein Siren (s)/ Ambulance(s)/ Fire brigades shall be operational during the said exercise. The general public have been advised to refrain from panic and facilitate the success of the preparedness exercise.
