Phek DPDB conducted monthly meeting at DC's conference Hall, Phek, on 12th June 2025, under the Chairmanship of the newly appointed Chairman DPDB, Phek, Kudecho Khamo, Advisor for CAWD & Taxes, Government of Nagaland.
Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman, DPDB, Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS, who presided the proceedings of the meeting, welcomed the new Chairman DPDB and MLAs, and the members of the DPDB at the meeting.
Chairman, DPDB addressed the meeting in which he highlighted his ideas and suggestions/plans for smooth and effective role of DPDB for the benefit of the citizens of Phek District. He also spoke about the economy standard/level of Nagaland, in which he asked the officers at the meeting to execute all developmental funding schemes effectively for the upliftment of the district. He further expressed his appreciation on the launching of Viksit Khrishi Sankalp Abhiyaan (VKSA), National Initiative program by the Government of Nagaland in the district and asked the line departments for full cooperation.
The Chairman, DPDB also proposed for conducting mass social work at Phek town, every month which was agreed by the esteemed members at the meeting.
MLA, Kuzholuzo Nienu and MLA, Dr. Neisatuo Mero also attended and addressed the meeting, acknowledging the encouraging level of attendance of the DPDB meeting. The department officers were requested to work in full cooperation with mandated Phek town Councillors, and were asked to continue to maintain clean environment of Phek town.
Agenda for registration of Society in respect of Runguzu Students Union which was presented by the leader of Concerned RSU was agreed by the House for recommendation to government for approval. Another agenda, for the conduct of monthly mass social work at Phek town was also discussed and agreed by Members of the House.
A presentations were made by the department of Youth Resources and Sports Department at the meeting, where departmental activities were highlighted in detail including the current activities and for the next scheduled programmes.
The presentations for the next DPDB meeting have been entrusted to Power Department and Department of Fisheries.
Earlier, the meeting started with invocation prayer pronounced by Dr. Vezhoto Soho, Associate Pastor, Phek Town Baptist Church.
