The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Nagaland, has issued an official notification on 3rd of July 2025, initiating the identification and enumeration of individuals belonging to Category I and Category II. The move comes in pursuance of a directive from the Home Department's Political Branch, outlined in Notification No: CON-3/PAP/65/10, dated 20th September 2024.

According to the notification, the process will commence with immediate effect. Forms required for this process will be available at the ILP Administrative Cell, located within the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur.

Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, has emphasized that this exercise is a critical administrative step aimed at streamlining population categorization under the Inner Line Permit (ILP) framework.
