The 79th Independence Day celebration was held in Seyochung Head Quarter, Kiphire at Public Ground Seyochung, on 15th August 2025. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Seyochung, James T Khulu Tikhir, NCS, hoisted the National Flag and delivered the Independence Day speech. He also took Rashtraya salute from the three contingents of the parade, led by Nikihe Chishe, Seyochung Area Village Guard Commander, and second-in-command, Hav. Major, Seyochung, Shetoho Yeptho.
Highlights of the programme were, AhouAhou presented by Sulila, a choreography of Vande Mataram, Maa Tujhe Salam by Litongla. Drill display by St. Mary's High School Seyochung, Sumi Women Community Seyochung.
The Chief Guest also inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by the Department of Agriculture Seyochung, Medical Team Seyochung and ten NGOs stalls.
All the Head of Offices, officers, public leaders, DBs, GBs, VCC and NGOs attended the programme.
