The District Administration, Wokha, in collaboration with ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (ICAR-CTCRI), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is set to organize a one-day training workshop on improved production and value addition technologies for tuber crops. The event will be held on Monday, 15 September 2025, from 10:00 AM onwards at TIYI Hall (Town Hall), Wokha Town.
The workshop is in convergence with ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Wokha, Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), and Mission Shakti – District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Wokha, under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme. It will focus on tuber crops such as tapioca, cassava, sweet potato, yams, taro, tannia, and elephant foot yam, aiming to equip participants with scientific knowledge and practical skills for enhanced productivity and value addition.
Interested individuals have been requested to register their participation by 13th September 2025, 4:00 PM. Registration can be completed by filling out the Google Form available at https://forms.gle/5aK11Nac7mHn48SB6 or by submitting a physical application in the prescribed format to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, during working hours.
