Observation of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women Cum Launching of 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence, with the Theme "UNITE to End Digital Violence against all Women", was organised by the District Administration and Sakhi-one Stop Centre under Mission Shakti, Meluri on 25th November 2025 at DC’s Conference hall, Meluri.

SDO (C) Meluri, Sakuchingmak in his keynote address stressed about the important role and function of the Mission Shakti one stop centre (OSC). He also said that Church is the most important platform to protect and prevent women against violence in our society.

            Guest Speaker for Gender based Violence against Women was delivered by Chiekerho Nyusou Case Worker (legal). She spoke about Domestic Violence against Women, Digital abuses, Prevention of Sexual Harassment at work places, Physical abuse and legal acts.

The programme was attended by heads of Department under Meluri district; Civil Societies Organisations; Village Council members of Meluri, Khumiasú and Riehuope; Student leaders and Church leaders of Meluri Town, Meluri Village, Khumiasü and Riehuope. Jitsiasa Nyusou, Centre Administrator, OSC, Meluri Chaired the Programme. She also led the Shakti Mission, one Stop Centre (OSC) Pledge.
