MP, Lok Sabha & President NPCC, Nagaland, S. Supongmeren Jamir graced the inaugural programme of the 70th General Conference of the Ao Students Conference (AKM) as the Chief Guest on 13th January 2026 held at Chungtia village Mokokchung district from 13 to 15 January 2026 under the theme " Strengthening Horizons".

Addressing the delegates, the Chief Guest stated that AKM should aim to produce responsible leaders and officers. White stressing on the importance of humility and a love for learning, he urged the youths to continuously acquire knowledge, explore themselves and pursue their goals accordingly. He also encouraged the youths to remain determined and not allow setbacks to deter them from achieving their aspirations.

Earlier, short speeches were also delivered by Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, Special Secretary, Limasunep Jamir, IPS, and President ENSF, Nuheymong Yimkhiung
