Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, George Kurian had an interaction Session with the Head of the Offices under Tuensang District at DC’s Conference Hall, Tuensang on 2nd March 2026.
Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa in her welcome address expressed her sincere gratitude to the Union Minister on behalf of the entire People of Tuensang. While ADC Tuensang, Shelly Katiry presented an overview profile of Tuensang District through PowerPoint Presentation.
The Union Minister had a discussion with the officers on infant Mortality Rate, immunization, Public Distribution System, Skills Development, Nutrition, PM Kisan, PMAY-G, SHGs, Educational System and National Highway 202. The Minister stated that the Prime Minister of India is deeply committed for the development of Northeast region and the Centre Government is ready to assist the State Government in infrastructure development and financial assistance for the welfare of the people.
He also appreciated the good works rendered by the Officers at the district and urged them to continuously work with sincerity and dedication for the welfare of the district. Earlier, the Union Minister visited St. John Higher Secondary School, Tuensang and had an interactive session with the students.
