The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, has announced a district-wide registration campaign for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) under the DREAM Nagaland initiative, aimed at ensuring an inclusive and accessible enrolment of PwDs as job seekers in Employment Exchanges.
According to the circular issued by Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, NCS, the registration drive will be conducted across various colonies and institutions in Dimapur as per a detailed action plan. All village councils, wards and colonies have been directed to extend support and disseminate information to ensure maximum participation.
As per the schedule, the campaign will begin on March 23 with visits to institutions including Deaf Biblical Seminary and Prodigals Home. On March 24, camps will be held at Supply Colony Children’s Park and Kiyong Colony Anganwadi Centre from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
On March 25, registration camps will take place at Notun Basti Council Hall and GMS Sematilla, while on March 26, camps will be conducted at Lengrijan Council Hall and Walford Colony Council Hall during the same time.
Additionally, a special drive will be carried out at the District Employment Office, Zion Hospital Junction, Purana Bazar, covering areas such as East Dimapur, Veterinary Colony and Burma Camp from March 24 to 26.
The areas to be covered include Supply Colony, Fellowship Colony, Nepali Basti, Forest Colony, Notun Basti, Riverbelt, LRC, NST Colony, Lengrijan, Razaphe, Kashiram, Kiyong Colony, Signal, Kevijau, Sematilla, Walford, and adjoining localities.
Eligible applicants must be between 14 to 37 years of age and are required to submit xerox copies of their Disability Certificate and Aadhaar card.
The district administration has urged all eligible PwDs to avail the opportunity and register themselves for improved employment prospects.
