In view of the forthcoming Bye-Election to the 28 Koridang (ST) Assembly constituency and in accordance with the provisions of the conduct of Election Rules, 1961, a co-ordination meeting between the contesting candidates/Election Agents, District Nodal Officers of EEM/EVM/Manpower management/Transport Management Cell/Postal Ballot/ Model Code of Conduct/ Media Management Cell was held at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Mokokchung on 27th March 2026.
During the meeting, Returning Officer & SDO (C), Nockpai Konyak, Nodal Officer, Expenditure Monitoring Cell & EAC, Kewimesin Nriame briefed on the Model Code of Conduct relating to the electioneering procedures laid down by the Election Commission of India which need to be strictly adhered by all the candidates. 
The Officials from the Election Commission of India, General Observer Dr. Neeraj Shukla IAS, Expenditure Observer D. Sreedhar Reddy, IRS and Police Observer Sandeep Karra, IPS also attended the meeting proceeding.
