The 3-day annual games and sports meet 2026 for Government Middle School, Pungro Village was inaugurated on 9th April 2026 by Special guest, Lenpithong Kurian, Federal Council Member, Yimkhiung Tribal Council at Pungro village ground, Kiphire.
Kurian in his speech, spoke on the importance of games and sports not just as a sense of recreation but it's scope as a career opportunity.
The programme began with invocation by Dr. Berimong, Pastor of Pungro village Baptist Church and Keynote address by Kinan, Head Teacher Government Middle School.
Other highlights included March past parade by the students, oath taking ceremony and official declaration of Annual games and sports by the special guest.
